Happy Mother's Day Everyone
Some of the major milestones'events that I've been looking forward to this year have now taken place- Grandchild's birth, 3 of my children's birthdays, my birthday, Mother's day, several breaks- Australia Day, Easter, Anzac Day, Queen's birthday, Labour Day, please tell me we're not out of public holidays yet LOL! as they give us the opportunity we need to break from work and spend time with our families, now I just want the year to slow downnnnnnnnn and let me absorb the rest of the year at a slower pace!!!
Which brings me to the one day us mums get a look in of being remembered and pampered!!!
I was blessed with some movies, chocolates, flowers, a lunch out and a little visit to a fav place just near our garden city- Highfields! Here is a few pics to tell the story! My baby girl of 9yrs - Gabriella was happy to snap a few photos of her mum. Here goes---
Mother's Day spoils!!!
Yummy lunch at The Chocolate Factory!!!
Almost too pretty to eat, cute paddy cake size!
The Chocolate Factory- Highfields near Toowoomba. Qld.
A great little Scrap shop- Scrapbook Obsession!
A Patchwork shop to die for- my sort of world since foreverrrrrrrrr! (now you all know why I sew on my layouts LOL!)
Here's some Mother's day scrapping- (well I actually done them prior to mother's day this weekend)
An addition to Logan's Baby album- Logan and his mummy, photo taken in hospital by Aunty Em. I've used Basic Grey= Porcelain collection for this layout and done some stitching around the rubon rose designs.
My Mum
As well last night I did this little layout for Alexis's Baby Album using a Becky Fleck sketch from April pagemaps 2009. this is also my take on this weeks #121 Colour combo.
Little Princess
On Saturday I had a visit from Daniel, Lindsie and my grandson Logan. boy is he growing into a big boy. he was loving lying there in my arms gooing and trying to talk to me and smiling away the way a 3 mth old does until you get the camera out and than its a no show- after a series of continuous clicking away both when I was nursing him and also by his mum. gee anyone would think he's had a camera in his face since he was born???? No Way hehehehe!!!!
I've had a little play around with this one below. Emily took this original shot, here is the shot before and after. Both versions have their qualities.
original shot.
My 3rd offspring- Daniel (who is dad to my grandson Logan) Daniel is almost 20yrs old this year.
Here is my attempt to get a photo with all my kids (except sadly for Benjamin the eldest who is away, maybe one day I'll have them all included) and Lindsie too who is now part of our family as mum to my grandson Logan, his big sister of 2yrs Alexis and Daniel's partner (hopefully wife one day). What I didn't know is that my youngest Gabriella had donned on some quirky glasses for some of the shots, little rascal, this is the best of several attempts. There was only 3 goes but Logan is over it with a yawn. Just goes to show sometimes shots like this are priceless in showing off family's individuality!
And that concludes the best weekend I've had in awhile, the blessing of having a family round about you! I hope you all had a great weekend too.
Love and God Bless
