Show n Tell

Hi Everyone,

Well yes I'm back from retreat and yes I did so some scrapping beyond socializing LOL!!!! The retreat was run by Jodi whose business is aptly named 'Stick n Giggle' and that's exactly what we did. Of course there are always those who are much more productive and leave the rest of us in the dust and I find to that I always take way too much and it doesn't help when you are time starved in getting properly prepared before going away and you end up including a whole lot more gear ROFL!!!

I packed alot of the materials I would need to work on my wedding album and that proved to be a good idea, along with a few other paper packs in case I felt like doing something else. As well as this most of our second day was taken with classes. I'm yet to later add photos to Jay Mair's class project so I'll share that at a later date, but for now I've included Jolene's project, well my take on it LOL!

So without further ado here goes!

Something Sweet about Me- Jolene's class Something Sweet About Me

I've finally done the 'tree' trend with this layout. we also got to use one of those Fiskars lace border punches, tedious but effective and certaintly worth it in my opinion.

This next layout is a total scraplift from a layout featured in last month's Creating Keepsakes- June edition, on page 63- a layout called "Day Trip by Maggie Holmes. the funny thing was two other scrappers next to me had also packed the same mag, tagged the page to scraplift as well. Now in my opinion that goes to show its a quality piece of the work! Anycase I chose to scrap some photos I took while visiting Australia Zoo in April of these beautiful tigers in Tiger Temple.

and now some of the wedding Layouts that I got finished. One I'm still yet to complete.

this Layout started out as a 30min challenge on retreat to scrap Lyrics of a Song or use Lyrics or title of a song in your title. while we were on our honeymoon (almost 23years ago) we visited the theme park - Magic Mountain. I named the LO after that song - Don't you know it's magic..... but all I can say is that when we visited the park it was pretty boring and we left within the hour. To my knowledge the park no longer exists and has a resort built on site now.

Don't you know its Magic Don't You Know It's Magic

I've kept the designs of my wedding layouts quite simple because I want to keep my album classic in style. I've used Making Memories 5th Avenue - Sophia as a continuing factor and incorporated some other materials as well as my love for stitching and rubons. In this layout below- Our Parents I've used some Hambly Screen Print corner rubons and but them in half as my main embellishment.

Our Parents Our Parents

I have reused a lot of the packaging too that comes with the Making Memories product, so I suppose I been recycling LOL!

The Bridal Table the Bridal Table

I was stoked the recenty to discover one of my LO's from July's scrapbook Memories had been showcased to advertise one of the galleries in the magaizine! This is the 2nd time my work has been displayed on the online magazine link.

Now last post I did promise to upload my MM Noteworthy 2 Design work for TSE this month but since the newsletter is not yet released I'll hold that over (sorry) for another post when the time is right. In the mean time I'm sure there is plenty to look at in this posting!   Have a great weekend everyone.

 God Bless

Love yas,
