As Promised!
Hi everyone'
Just a quickie post (I think, I say that and sometimes it ends up as long as any other LOL!) to share my most recent TSE DT work with you using the Making Memories Noteworthy 2 - Addie Collection. THis release of Making Memories pp's Noteworthy 2 actually has two different sets one being the Delaney collection which is more vibrant in colour and the Addie collection which is of a more muted tones, in my opinion anycase. So lets roll with it!
Working with MM Noteworthy 2 – Addie Collection by Ruth Clarke
You Glow - layout
I must say that I love dye cut papers, they are so versatile whether you use them as a page of their self or cut them in half, quarters or else wise. These days they have mini pages in the form of journal books to compliment your pages. And prompt you to tell the story.
My basic approach to this page was to--
Cut up some of the strips of mixed pattern paper and cut a scallop edge into it. I also used some MM acrylic green paint watered down to provide a bit of colour interest to my dyecut and frame my photo. The title is a mixture of Basic Grey purple lettering and the new MM Addie Noteworthy chipboard lettering. I finished off my page with stitching around the photo and as an accent on my flower. Kaiser gems and ric rac ribbon bring the final sparkle to my girly page.
In Love – Layout
For this layout I cut the dyecut in half and used the plainer side. However I used the cutout flower design from one side of the dyecut to use as a template for my stitching design on the left side of my photo. I’ve kept to a monocharamatic colour scheme and added 2 different journal pages and some lace for the romantic theme. The Love definition, Hearts both rubons and brads are all Making Memories product, the later from the Love Story collection. Again I’ve used some colour with the help of my ink pad around the photograph and stitched some lines to frame it. The chipboard lettering is from the Noteworthy 2 – Addie collection.
So In Love – Layout
Yes there seems to be a bit of a theme here with my layouts (well yes one of my son’s has a serious relationship with his beautiful girl and it seems to worth documenting for our family’s keepsake.)
I hope that you get from my examples of the Noteworthy 2 Addie collection that you don’t always have to use your papers just as they come but you can cut, alter them with paint or ink , mix them up etc to achieve your individual result. For this Layout I completely cut out the flower design and than reused the spotted background to back my photograph and reassembled it all on a border strip. I embellished the layout further with rubons from the MM Love Story range and added some Kaiser pearls to give it a formal approach.
Some cards to use up the stash-
Yes these are shamelessly simple and that’s okay with me because the papers are so pretty in themselves it seems you don’t need a lot to add to make them a worthwhile project. Cards are a good way to use up the little embellishments we have here and there.
So there you go another beautiful collection of product from Making Memories and a pleasure to work with as well. Now it’s your turn!
I've had a lovely weekend. I went out to see my nephews and brother in law play polocrosse yesterday in Oakey for the Coopers Cup. My nephew Ryan was representing Queensland against New Zealand and for the game that was played yesterday Queensland was winning! Good on ya Ryan, Proud of you!!!!
I Put my new nikon D80 to work as well with the zoom and got some good shots (imo anyway LOL!) Looks like I'll be doing a polocrosse Layout!
Hope you are all in good spirits and enjoying your weekend too.
