One-Line Bio

I'm a SAHM, married with 5 children, addicted to scrapbooking who loves life.

I am a SAHM married to my DH - Brett for 22yrs now and we together have 5 children - 2 boys and 3 girls. I have always been interested in craft of various kinds, with a background as a professional dressmaker and fashion designer. As well as a musician - guitar and piano being my main two choices of instruments, I have always enjoyed phtoography. I found over the years that my photos were increasingly staying in the photo boxes and not getting into albums of any sort, despite this issue it didn't stop me taking more photos as I am passionatly sentimental. So it was quite a relief when I discovered scrapbooking in 2002. Though I had seen it some years before displayed at various craft shows, I was not impressed with how they cut up good photos, with all that feltpen and sticker look. Scrapbooking has developed so quickly in the last few years and I think is now more creditable. During this time of my growing addiction I had a retail scrapbook shop, partnering with my SIL for 3 years and introduced many more people to this craft. I enjoyed teaching people and seeing the enthusiasm grow in each new convert! After several years my SIL and I felt it was time to move on from the shop and dedicate more time to our families, which in turn has given me much more time to scrapbook. I have been published in several of the Australian scrapbook magazines - Scrapbook Memories, For Keeps, Scrapbook Creations, Aussie Reader of Creating Keepsakes and featured in the Elite Team Special Awards book in 2007. I am part of several design teams, which include Every Moment matters and Piggy Tales in USA. I plan to enter the Scrapbook masters and/or the Elite team in the future, as well continued to be published. All this in my opinion keeps me challenged to improve and develop my art. My aim for having a blog is to keep a journal of my life and to enjoy the friendships that this great lifestyle affords us.
I hope to keep you entertained (hopefully not to much drama though) and not be a bore!!!

Stay tuned for the Clarkee's Chit Chat!

Cheers and God Bless
